This function is helpful anytime a user wants to identify the top or bottom data points from a data set or calculation. Common examples include:

  • Top selling items
  • Top performing regions or customer segments
  • Poorest performing sales reps
  • Most frequent time-of-day for orders
  • Top performing products and/or services
