Overview

Install this block for free by importing the project(s) from the GitHub repository linked at the top of the listing.

This is not an officially supported Google product.

This Looker block provides comprehensive insights into real-user web performance by integrating Chrome UX Report (CrUX) data directly within your Looker environment. It is designed to facilitate the analysis, understanding, and optimization of website speed, responsiveness, and visual stability, which are critical factors for user experience.

The block leverages the publicly available chrome-ux-report.materialized.device_summary dataset in Google BigQuery. Access to this public dataset eliminates the need for any initial data export or complex setup.

  1. Access CrUX Public Data: Chrome UX Report (CrUX) data is readily available in Google BigQuery within the chrome-ux-report.materialized.device_summary table.

  2. Select Your Origin: Begin by choosing the origin (website domain) you wish to analyze.

  3. Explore Dynamic Metrics: Dive into comprehensive web performance metrics. Use Looker's dynamic_metric parameter to switch between Core Web Vitals and other essential metrics for actionable insights.

  4. Visualize with Dashboards: Connect your data to Looker and leverage our suite of 13 pre-built dashboards. Navigate these dashboards to visualize and analyze various metrics across devices and time.

For initial guidance on accessing the CrUX BigQuery dataset, refer to: CrUX on BigQuery.
