The COVID-19 Data Block helps you analyze publicly available data on confirmed cases, deaths, testing results and other critical metrics.

  • Explore confirmed cases, deaths, fatality rates and growth rates across geographic regions internationally

  • Drill down for detailed views of the United States and Italy at the regional level

  • Compare state policies, testing results and average hospital capacity across the United States

When installing the block, please specify a BigQuery connection that has persistent derived tables turned on. You can follow the instructions here.

As with other Looker Blocks, you can easily customize the data model to fit your needs. You can extend the COVID - Main explore and join it with your proprietary data to understand how spread of the disease may be impacting your business.

Looker has created this block to make analyzing COVID-19 data easier and more efficient. All data sources are included within the LookML model and are indicated in the readme of the project. This Data Block is made available on an "as is" basis. Looker can not represent or warrant that this data will be accurate, reliable, or error-free. Please consult the documented data source sites for details on how their data is being collected and how to interpret it.
